Jane Bennett on “Powers of the Hoard:  Notes on Material Agency.”  Jane Bennett is an inspired original contemporary phlosopher occupied with the definitions of agency and of living matter.  She is a professor in the Department of Political Science at Johns Hopkins University.

Five Royales - 17 Hits.  Near mint on Gusto.  Steve Cropper of Booker T. fame just did a new album covering these guys, who were one of the bluesier of the doo-wop groups.

Headpins - Turn It Loud.

Lonnie Hewitt - Keepin’ It Together.  Extremely rare , slightly odd private soul release from 1977 on Wee Records.  Kind of like Lou Rawls on Quaaludes thinking the recorder has been shut off.

Bert Jansch - Lucky Thirteen.  Vanguard stereo.


Jo’Burg Hawk - Near mint 1973 UK “mad hatter” Charisma pressing.  In near mint gatefold.  An interracial South African rock group in 1973!

Terry Knight and the Pack  - Self-titled on Lucky Eleven.

Junior Mance Touch  Near mint , 1973, on Polydor.

Lee Morgan - Take Twelve.  Sealed 1981 Prestige reissue.

Nighthawks - Self-titled.  1980 on Mercury.  They were cool enough to be on The Wire, so ‘nuff said.

The Who - Magic Bus.  First Decca stereo .
