Lordy how the time flies in book and music loving and cultural shenanigans. June 1st Normal's Books & Records & Bargain Cobbley World turned 21. Somehow we already have varicose veins and gin blossoms, but we still have piirate hearts.
To celebrate another year marker and to help place some sweet objects in your laps and home, we are having the biggest sale in our history - 30% off all used books, records, cds and dvds. If we go any lower on prices we'll have to adapt a bald guy caricature logo and preface our name with a synonym for batshit.
The sale runs from Friday, June 17th through Sunday, June 19th. On Saturday, the 18th, we're going to have some live music during store hours, starting around 2pm. Featuring the delirious and literate Sweatpants, the sinuous, lovable, banjo-mandolin trading Sea Couch, John Berndt and all-star guests plus the deep resonating sounds of maestro Susan Alcorn on pedal steel. If you've already heard her then your mind is already draped on your bureau like a deflated zeppelin. If you have not heard her you owe it to yourself bigtime to give her a listen.
