Local duo The Violet Hour who played an amazing Sunday afternoon here long ago return to enchant and introduce their touring friends Alicia Jo Rabins and Aaron Hartman, who play "post-biblical art-pop" - Leonard Cohen meets Owen Pallett with Violin looping; lyrical songs about leprosy, betrayal, and love.

Doors will open at 8 and the suggested donation at the door for the groups is $6.







Also, there's a rare Shattered Wig Night coming up Friday, November 4th at the 14 Karat Cabaret -218 W. Saratoga St. It's a CD release party for the local string duo Sea Couch with additional music by City Paper award winner Her Fantastic Cats, a performance by poet Bruce Jacobs and a reading by Philly author Kim Gek Lin Short.



Doors will open at 9 and the cover charge is $6.
